Rutgers International Travel Registration INSTRUCTIONS
Welcome to the new Rutgers International Travel Registration Site.
All Rutgers faculty, staff or student groups traveling internationally on University-associated matters must register on the Rutgers International Travel Registration Site. This information is collected so that, in the event of an international emergency, Rutgers will be able to locate, notify and deliver resources to those that may be affected. Travel registration is not required for personal travel or travel within the United States.
Effective December 2014, Rutgers has implemented a new, improved and more user-friendly travel registration system. The new MyTrips system requires that all new -- and all past travel registration site users -- create a brief MyTrips profile (name, phone, e-mail). The user's profile may then be returned to in order to add or edit trip information.
Registration is simple:
Access the MyTrips Travel Registration Site.
MyTrips first-time users will create a brief profile including username (traveler's email address) and chosen password. The traveler's Rutgers NetID and password are NOT REQUIRED for this registration, allowing administrators and assistants access to the registration process on behalf of the traveler (if allowed by the traveler). After creating your initial MyTrips traveler profile, the profile may be returned to in order to add or edit upcoming travel.
When creating a trip, please enter as much information as possible. For the ACCOMMODATION section, enter hotel or other residence address. If detailed ACCOMMODATION information is not available, at a minimum, please enter best available city location (using search features, if necessary).
Phone number (required field) may be the accommodation phone or a personal cell phone.
