Where do I get more Information on Student Health Insurance?
Detailed information on various types of Student Health Insurance can be obtained either by visiting the Students link on the right hand side menu of this page or by contacting the Student Health Insurance office which has been temporarily relocated in the first floor lobby at the Busch-Livingston Health Center on Livingston Campus. How do I insure a student's Personal Property brought to campus?
To insure your student's personal belongings such as clothing, computers, bicycle's, etc. Rutgers recommends the purchase of Personal Property Insurance coverage, a policy designed especially for students, underwritten by Atlantic Mutual through their brokers Haylor, Freyer and Coon Inc. Please visit HF&C's website for details of coverage, premiums, deductibles and claims information. They can also be reached by phone at 1-800-289-1501 Ext. 2269 (ask for a college specialist).
However, please be sure to check with your Insurance Agent of Homeowners/Tenants insurance policy to see whether or not coverage under your policy applies while away from home or at college.

Our department needs to obtain an Automobile Insurance Card?
To obtain an Automobile Insurance Card for a newly acquired University vehicle please call Patricia LaSasso at our office. You will need vehicle information such as VIN, University Vehicle ID, Temporary License Plate Number along with the Q or R available when you call up.

How to obtain a Certificate of Insurance for an Off-Campus Activity?
To obtain a Certificate of Insurance for an approved Off-Campus Activity call Harsh Dutia at our office with the details of the activity such as Date, Location, a brief Description along with the requesting party's insurance requirements at least 1 week prior to the activity.

What are the University's Insurance requirements for Vendors?
All vendors doing or planning to do business with the University are required to maintain Comprehensive General Liability, Automobile and Worker's Compensation Insurance coverage. The coverages must be evidenced on their Certificate of Insurance which must be on file with the Purchasing Department or must be forwarded to our office for review. Please refer to the detailed Insurance Requirements in the form of a PDF document.
